Welcome to Fustipulp online!
The brainchild of three dog lovers, Fustipulp showcases the beauty of our friends: Daphne, Lupe, Bridie Murphy, and the magnificent Magnolia Blossom, "living a dog's life" as only they can. These distinctive cards, in an old fashioned sepia tone, send a whimsical message to recipients that they won't soon forget.
In this fanciful shot,
taken to celebrate Easter ‘03, the mercurial Bridie Murphy seems to be
on the scent of a beloved Easter treat! Feeling cheated by the bunny,
Bridie dons the hare’s ears in hopes of finding some still hidden treats.
She’d even be satisfied with a few jelly beans -- but not black ones.
It’s a party. Whoopee!
In this whimsical shot, taken to celebrate a special birthday, the perplexed Magnolia Blossom seems almost stolid. What’s one more year afterall? She knows that humans take birthdays way too seriously which is ridiculous considering they only age in one year increments -- try being a dog!
This whimsical shot,
taken for Valentine’s Day ‘03, depicts the thoughtful Magnolia Blossom,
on her chaise at home, contemplating the vagaries of her new responsibilities.
Hoping for inspiration with a cupidian arrow nearby, she sits on a heart
shaped pillow. What she will do remains to be seen!
In this quixotic shot
of her taken in her youth, Daphne wanders the garden. Always the
industrious pup, there is little that distracts her from her chosen goal
whether it be chasing some poor rodent or some imaginary beastie.
On this particular day, it is the season she seeks -- the warmth of the
vernal sun, the fresh, crisp smell of an early spring day, and the season’s
early floral offerings.
In this quixotic shot
taken in their youth, Princess Daphnie and Bridie Murphy
can be found in a rare state of doggie détente. Normally
not the best of friends, this photo would seem to indicate that they didn’t
always live such hostile lives. Alas, those days have long passed,
and today the requiescence is no more.
All dignity is lost
in this quixotic shot of Daphne after a day spent vying for beads.
Having had nothing to bare, bare all was not an option. Alas, no
beads, dubloons, or candies were caught, and in the end the fool and
the krewe got away to dance another day in another parade down St. Charles.
This fanciful shot, taken
in honor of St. Paddy’s Day ‘03, depicts the capricious Bridie Murphy,
bemoaning her “near” luck. Having hoped for something a bit more substantial,
the gift of bouncing shamrocks is quite uninspiring. Perhaps a little
corned beef flavored dog food will cheer her up.
In
this whimsical shot, Magnolia Blossom heads for safer ground -- or in
this case -- for safer waters. Too nervous to be alone, her
trusty ducky, ever grinning, accompanies her into the tub.
She would, of course, be better accompanied by some strong soap, but that
is for another day. On this day, the duck is the best she can do.
